Bio:

The brave and valiant Elven ranger Denithar fell in love with the beautiful human shepherdhess Brana. Brana’s hamlet of shepherds in Wool’s Hollow, just south of the Harkenwold, was territory that Denithar ranged and protected. Seeing Brana at the river one day, Denithar’s heart was pierced with deep affection for the comely woman. In their love, Brana bore Zenithar al Denithar, whom she nicknamed Z’alden.

As a boy, Z’alden would spend time with his father learning some of the ways of the ranger, how to track, even on stone, how to look for traps and find ways that are hidden. Alas, Z’alden had no skill with a bow and little with a sword.

Just a few short years after his birth, the hamlet was overrun by a tribe of Orcs allied with skeletons, zombies, vampires, and other wicked undead. The marauders and their undead allies viciously burned the hamlet to the ground, taking many of the good folk as slaves or worse. Denithar perished protecting his love, his child, and the Hollow. Unable to save Denithar, Brana fled with Z’alden. They were found by clerics of Bahamut who had heard of the battle too late, and taken to the safety of a cleric stronghold of Bahamut.

Within the walls of the stronghold, the clerics, priestesses, and monks welcomed the family. It soon become apparent that Z’alden was gifted with divine power from the great Dragon. As he tended an injured sheep one day, silver and purple flames formed around his hands, helping to knit wounds and broken bones. While not a quick study, Z’alden benefited and grew from the training that the clerics bestowed upon him to help his divine gifts flourish.

At his 18th birthday, having learned all that the clerics were ready to teach, Z’alden was sent to Marla High Priestess of Pelor to discover the ways of other faiths and expand his own wisdom. Marla sent him on several missions to destroy the products of evil. He found his calling in destroying those perversions of nature: undead, the non-life forms that had destroyed his boyhood village and taken the life of his father.

With a group of adventurers, Z’alden Silverflame took up Marla’s challenge to destroy a Cult of Evil that had formed in the town of Winterhaven . Now, he seeks to destroy evil and undead, uphold justice, and share the kindness of Bahamut to which he owes so much.
