Erik Stormgründ is a human living among the elves, dwarves and other magical creatures. He marvels at the magic in the world but has a fundamental belief that talent and disciplined training multiplied by force of will is superior to raw magic. He believes that the “age of man” will one day inevitably come and that it will be a sad day when the dwarves retire to their underground cities to sleep and the elves sail across the sea. Man’s triumph will echo with the sadness of the majesty lost.

Being a ranger, Erik has a strong belief in independence and self-reliance. He is driven by a quest for perfection in martial combat. Humans are often considered intrinsically at a disadvantage relative to the magical creatures, so he trains with extraordinary discipline and focus to overcome perceived deficiencies. Wanderlust draw Erik to new lands and new adventures.
